I was going for a walk early one morning along the coast road to Waitete Bay, when a shower blew in over The Moehau. The driving rain being pushed along by the wind, thinned briefly as sunlight filtered dimly across the landscape.
It seemed like a good subject for a painting. It has the element of mystery, with the hills shroduded behind the driving, misty rain. To me mystery always holds possibility, I see it as being a metaphor for possibility.
